अफगान पुलिस के एक कमांडर ने शुक्रवार को एसोसिएटेड प्रेस के दो पत्रकारों पर पूर्वी अफगानिस्तान में सुरक्षा बलों के एक शिविर में गोली चला दी जिसमें अंजा नेद्रिगौस की मौत हो गई है। पुरस्कार विजेता जर्मन फोटोग्राफर अंजा नेद्रिगौस 1990 के दशक में इराक, लीबिया, अफगानिस्तान के संघर्ष वाले इलाकों की रिपोर्टिंग की थी। वह 2005 में पुलित्जर पुरस्कार जीतने वाले एपी फोटोग्राफरों के दल का हिस्सा भी थीं। गोली लगने से तत्काल नेद्रिगौस की मौत हो गई।
अंजा ने 1990 की दशक में शुरू हुई बाल्कन समस्या से लेकर अभी तक 20 वर्ष की अवधि में कुवैत, इराक, लीबिया, गाजा और वेस्ट बैंक के संघर्ष का कवरेज किया है। अमेरिकी नेतृत्व में 2001 से शुरू हुए मिशन के आरंभ से लेकर अभी तक वह कई बार अफगानिस्तान की यात्रा पर गई थीं। अंजा की तस्वीरों को देखकर आप अफगानिस्तान के हालातों का अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं।
